This pathway is for primary specialists, not subspecialists. If you have specialty education or training not on the approved-jurisdiction list, you may be able to complete the Royal College’s practice eligibility route. For this route, you must determine that your training is ‘substantially equivalent’ to the Canadian specialty training. Your credentials will be reviewed, and if you meet the criteria, you will take the Royal College specialty exam.
