N4 Recommendation Reports
Part of the Solution: Recommendations for Welcoming Internationally Trained Physicians into Canada’s Health Care Sector
The future of health care requires innovative, sustainable solutions to the HHR crisis that Canada’s health care system is currently facing. N4’s recommendations provide a roadmap to successfully integrate and retain ITPs into the Canadian health care workforce, without sacrificing Canadian standards for physician credentialling and licensing, which support patient safety and quality of care.
Welcoming Internationally Educated Nurses into Canadian Health Care: Recommendations for Change
N4 has published a recommendation report designed to serve as roadmap to integrate and retain internationally educated nurses (IENs), without sacrificing Canadian standards for nurse credentialling and licensing, which support patient safety and quality of care. A working group of pan-Canadian stakeholders came together to draft the recommendations, and IENs validated and informed the creation of the work by sharing valuable lived experience.

Beyond Training: How to Incorporate Equity in Hiring Processes to Welcome Newcomers into the Workforce
Over the next three years, Canada will welcome 1.45 million newcomers, primarily in the skilled immigrant class. Newcomers bring diverse skills and experience and cultural and linguistic talents with them into the workforce. However, systemic barriers and bias within job postings and interview processes create unfair disadvantages for newcomers preventing entry into the workforce. This webinar will provide guidance to organizations seeking to welcome newcomers into their workforce by applying an inclusion and equity lens.
Speaker: Ann Curry-Stevens, Associate Professor, Wilfred Laurier University
