World Refugee Day, June 20, raises public awareness and commemorates the courage and resilience of nearly 60 million refugees worldwide, who have had to flee their homelands because of conflict or environmental disasters.
Each day thousands more refugees are added to this list as so many more are forced to flee their homes, leaving behind many loved ones and having little or no possessions with them. They suffer trauma, loss, violence, disease, malnutrition, cold, and mistreatment.
This World Refugee Day, share your activities and initiatives about raising awareness of this issue through our Meeting Place.
