The month of September means the launch of several exciting N4 initiatives to support internationally educated health professionals (IEHPS), including the new N4 / Saint-Paul University educational program, Fostering Canadian Integration for IEHPs: From Learning to Action on September 12. N4 and Saint-Paul University are looking forward to launching the second cohort of this program in January – keep checking our website for more details about how to register.
By the end of the month, two N4 Community of Practice (CoP) working groups will also have been launched. They’ll be working towards mapping the pathways to licensure for internationally trained physicians (ITPs) and internationally educated nurses (IENs), respectively, and comprised of key stakeholders.
We’ve also been meeting with lots of other stakeholders in the IEHPs space – check out N4’s social media channels to learn more about the great work of these individuals and organizations from across Canada (we're on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter). IEHPs and the health human resource (HHR) crisis in Canada have been heavily featured in the media lately – we regularly add relevant articles to the N4 website to keep you up to date.
Be sure to save your spot for two exciting webinars that N4 is hosting this month:
-
September 22: Removing Barriers to Employment for Internationally Educated Healthcare Professionals (IEHPs), with Dr. Zubin Austin.
-
September 27: Advocacy for the Health Human Resource Crisis in Canada - A Discussion on Internationally Trained Physicians (ITPs), with Owen Adams.
