Newcomers to Canada Clinic at St. Michael's Hospital

In 2018, Dr. Shazeen Suleman, a physician at the pediatric clinic at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, and her interdisciplinary team, identified gaps in care for newcomer children who have some kind of medical complexity or psychosocial complexity. In 2019, the Newcomers to Canada Clinic at St. Michael’s Hospital was officially established, a multidisciplinary model addressing the social determinants of newcomer’s health.
