This is a three-part professional development series presented by the IWK Health Centre.
Session 1: Trauma-Informed Care and application to clients
Introduces participants to the topics of trauma and Trauma-Informed Care, stress and trauma, and the neurobiological experience of trauma in the brain.Session 2: Trauma-Informed Care and application to staff
Introduces participants to potential experiences which most professional caregivers encounter.Session 3: Trauma-Informed Care considerations for organizations and systems
Shows how the content and material from the two previous sessions can be applied in a systemic way.
