The Catholic Centre for Immigrants (CCI) is a non-denominational settlement agency helping newcomers settle/integrate into Canadian society. We help everyone, regardless of race, ethnic origin, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, mental/physical ability. We help newcomers addressing challenges, such as housing, employment, education, health, language and more.
Career Transitions (CT) is a CCI comprehensive employment preparation program for international health professionals (IHP) in Ontario that connects with employers and community partners. CT provides focused training and one-on-one support to help participants transition their skills and knowledge into healthcare related roles. There is no cost in participating. We help IHPs understand the Canadian health sector and what they need to do to work in their field. We also help with resumes, cover letters, and practice interviews. Sometimes IHPs just want a fresh start. CT shows them how to transition to a new career.
