Calling all experts! N4 is Seeking Webinar Contributors

Are you a member of the N4 network and want to get more involved? We are currently seeking knowledgeable and passionate subject matter experts interested in applying their expertise to hosting a webinar in one of the following topic areas:

• Canadian Healthcare System (primary care for newcomers, payment and benefits);
• Impact of Culture and Health (health literacy, informed consent, medications, plan-of-care, end-of-life-care/bereavement);
• Refugee and Immigrant Health (guidelines, infectious diseases);
• Discharge Planning (preparing the patient for leaving the hospital, coordination of follow-up care etc.);
• Settlement Issues (reception: health screening and needs assessments, housing, legal issues, financial literacy, government orientation, employment skills);
• Special Newcomer Populations (child protection, school issues, seniors, disability, temporary foreign workers, international students, asylum seekers);
• Ethics (consent and capacity, delivering bad news, privacy and confidentiality);
• Service Delivery (staff on-boarding, evaluation, accreditation).

We can consider various presentation formats depending on your preferences such as a slide presentation-based webinar, Q&A or podcast, and we would work with you on selecting the session goals, objectives and media. We are also very flexible with the recording scheduling and will accommodate your agenda.
